Personal
- About me
So some basics about me then... I am based in Surrey and employed at an adult learning college in the London Borough of Sutton. I am interested in new/upcoming technologies and how they can be applied to everyday life. I studied Internet Technology at degree level at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and graduated with a 2:1 degree in 2005. In my job I have been involved with creating e-learning resources, developing a CMS for members of staff and assisting with the creation of online enrolment. An online version of my CV is here.
I have had a long interest and involvement with cars and motorsport. I am fortunate to be able to kart on a regular basis and I have taken part in championships since 2006. As a regular at Daytona's Sandown Park circuit, I race in the D60 championship held on the first Sunday of each month. Two other circuits I have raced at are Buckmore Park and Daytona Lydd. In February 2010, I created 'Track Talent', a non-commercial "magazine" based website which aims to promote British motor-racing talent and organisations. The site blends my interests of computing, writing and of course, motorsport. When you've got a moment, please visit it at www.tracktalent.co.uk.
While never a David Bailey (or amateur photographer..), I enjoy taking photos when at an event, during a holiday or out in the countryside. Below are some samples of photographs I have taken. They were taken on a Panasonic TZ-7.
In recent years I have developed my interest in writing. In 2008 I enrolled on a creative writing course and it helped me formulate new ideas and create a good structure. Some of the areas covered in the course involved: writing short stories, writing a good opening chapter for a novel, and screenwriting.
